It is used mainly to make Hessian bags, agro based industries for packing tobacco, tea, coffee, sugar, flour, potatoes, onions, wool, wheat, grains, rice, pulses, sands etc. Also, for many other packing purposes which meets international standards for food safety. The cheap price, re-usability, stacking capabilities etc. make it an ideal choice for transportation and storage. The cloth is available in squares and rolls and is used also for wrapping and to make a variety of other jute products.
