Carpet Backing (CBC/CBS)

Carpet backing cloth (CBC) is a kind of balanced fabric, weighing between 180 - 407g/m2 used as a base for making carpets. They are made of uniform yarns of a particular grist. Normally CBC are classified into the following two categories for being used in tufted carpet industry:

Carpet backing Cloth (primary) - The base fabric on which pile yarns are tufted and anchored to make a carpet.

Carpet backing Cloth (secondary) - Fabric bonded on the backside of the carpet forming an underlay.
